What better way to discover the beautiful nature of Aruba by renting a jeep and just riding around with no final destination ?!
That’s exactly what we did, my family and I drove around the whole island, which is only 193 km². I selected some of my favorite spots to share with you guys. Aruba is one of the only island of the Caribbean that has a very dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape.
In the North of Aruba there are some beautiful places like Natural Bridge (picture below), Hooiberg and Ayo Rock Formations. One of the coziest bars was the Bugaloe Beach Bar, situated next to Palm Beach. While drinking a delicious cocktail you can enjoy the beautiful clear blue sea.
When going to the South of Aruba, you drive by San Nicolas, you pass by an unique bar called Charlie’s (picture below). This bar is very famous in Aruba because it’s filled with decades of international memorabilia.
Of course we also love to enjoy the beaches. Baby beach is very famous, but it was a little bit to touristic for us, so we went to an unknown beach in front of the prison. While driving to that beach you pass by the ‘Anchor in Memory of All Seamen’, definitely worth taking a picture on it.
